Take it to test server by copying your toon, do as many times as needed till YOU are sure what are you doing.
Until that use other pets for your adventures.
Or just sell it not trained.

Secondly, you need to answer for yourself these questions, because you are training a ~1 Plat rare pet untrained value.
1) Whether you are looking at a good resale value should you decide to sell trained. If that is the case, then think PVP pet based training. You can still use the pet in PVM somewhat limited ways.
2) TP's are limited, so: Depends a little on what mobs you are going to go after.
Good luck and use TC1 first for these always.
