-A word about this thread-

The purpose of this thread is to combine several stickies and allow a place for our mods/reporters to post things pertaining to this forum in specific, without making a mess of stickies or losing their announcements.

Also note that this sticky was agreed upon by all Atlantic moderators, and was approved by the forum administrators. As such it is an amendment to the RoC for the Atlantic board only.

The Buy/Sell/Trade and Price Check threads

You may post threads to price check items however, this is not a free for all to advertise items for sale. You may ONLY post to inquire about the price of an item or items. There is a separate board for the trading/buying/selling of merchandise, for solicitation of goods. Any violators of this shall be handled accordingly. Also you are no longer allowed to post items that are only for Sale for real life Money.

the trade forum for the Atlantic Shard is located here, the rule of no buy/sell/trade threads in the shard forum will be enforced. There are too many for PM's to be sent in each case, but if your buy/sell/trade thread disappears, please check the trade forum.


Posting news

Users are more than welcome to post news of events themselves, but please do not type out [News] to imitate the reporter news tag. Also, I highly recommend you send announcements of events to our reporter team so they may post it officially. It'll get more views that way via being posted to the boards as well as the main news page, so there isn't any reason not to. Scroll down for detailed Instructions of how to submit your Event.


Comments, Questions, Concerns and Suggestions?

We are most definatley not automated robot moderators and reporters; we listen. If you've got comments whether they are good or bad, questions we might be able to answer, concerns about something you've seen, or a suggestion you have for us about the Atlantic board, main page, etc, talk to us! The Moderators boxes are always open if you've got any of the above.

Keep it clean and neat, obviously follow the ROC.This isn't a signature testing thread, or an avatar testing thread. You can preview your Sig in your user CP.
Please adhere to the following restriction for images that are not directly related to the topic of the thread under discussion:

- Maximum size of image file(s): 50k (51,200) bytes
- Maximum height of image(s): 125 pixels
- Maximum width of image(s): 600 pixels

How to submit your Event



You came up with an awesome event and want to make the whole shard known about it?

Well here is your solution.

As long as your Event doesn’t violate UO’s & Stratics TOS and ROC and is open to everyone, we will be happy to advertise it for you. If you want to double check the Rules you can find them all right here:

Go visit the Atlantic shard Forum





Or the Atlantic Website



And click the link to submit Events



This will take you right to our very own Event Calendar just for the Atlantic Shard.
Click on the link *add new Event*on the top right corner of the Calendar.

The browser will open a new window, with lots of Space to put all your details.
Now make sure you put all the right info in it, like
  1. Date
  2. Time
  3. Location
  4. Theme
  5. Fees
  6. Any other important info





After you are satisfied with your entry, click on the submit button. Once a Moderator looks through it and approves it, the event is visible to all forum users.



Done? Not by far :hug:
Next you need to write out an official invitation, think of it like a flyer.
Make the Atlantians want to come visit your event in droves.




Write it up nicely, again with all the important Dates and times and send it off to the Atlantic Staff.
We will edit it if needed, may even drop you a line or 2 if we have Questions and then post it on the Atlantic Forum with the official [NEWS] tag.
Eventually once we are all completely set up it will also go on the Atlantic Page.
