Area Peace vs Greater Confusion

Hi all,

I'm playin around with my miner/bard in order to do some mining in Ter Mur and came across a post here that suggested giving up Area Peace in favor of Greater Confusion potions. I hadn't thought of that before so I took my bard out to do a bit of conparison.

Now granted, this is a very small sample on only one monster, but I have to assume that it does represent the effect on other monsters. I took him to the Ice Fiends and found that (only a dozen comparisons) my bard's 120 Music and 120 Peace kept the Ice Fiends frozen for FAR LONGER than Greater Confusion potions. In fact, the Fiends broke the potions almost immediatly, while his Area Peace lasted for several seconds.

I'd love to hear from some of you regarding your experiences here...

havnt used them myself.
but have had people use them on me in pvp trying to break off my pets.

they used them.
they still died.

so all i can say is they didnt work too well for the people i ran into.

Thx for the input Poo. She (my miner) doesn't PvP, so her use would primarily be for the occasional "momentary halting of aggression" while mining the Abyss....

Not that expensive.... considering the cost - even availability - of Crystalline Blackrock (which is why she's going to mine the Abyss)...

anyone tested the difference of gm alch/50 ep vs no alch/50 ep?

i know they work really good with heal and cure pots.

but ya, that would be interesting to test with greater conflag and conf

i know that with greater EX they work, so id assume that same.

i have a pvp alchy somewhere that allready has a suit with the 50 EP on him..... just need to remember what shard......

this could take a while
