AI : Wondering

Sage
  • Mana Cost: 30
  • The next strike ignores the Physical Resistance of the attacked, but cause 90% of the normal damage only.
  • For PVP combat, the damage is capped at 35 damage for melee and 30 damage for ranged weapons. If you exceed this amount the total damage dealt is reduced to 35 or 30.

So Fire Beetle with RC will drop all resistances by 50% for a few seconds when RC hits. I.e. Scalia most res are in the 90's, so they will drop to ~40-45. AI when it hits at this 3 second interval will ignore the PHYSICAL resist part? Or any resist will be ignored? Also AI hits are only physical, or it depends on the fire beetle or other pet damage profile?

Vs Armor pierce that will reduce the pets :
Armor Pierce is primarily an archer's Special Move that was added by the Samurai Empire. Upon landing an Armor Pierce, 50% of the damage dealt is added as direct damage, with a possibility to damage the target's armor.

So it means 50% damage ignores all resists, and also there is a decrease in ? what resist for few seconds?

Which is best to add for Scalis Fire Beetle?

When AI hits, all resist are ignored so you will hit something with 0 resist in any elemental resist , but at 90% damage. iF RC will be on at that time it will be wasted. If mob already at 0 or below given resist (naturally or with debuffs) AI will actually decrease your damage.

Which is best to add for Scalis Fire Beetle?
Depends. Scalis has 80-90 Fire Resist, so an Fire Beetle's AI will dish out more damage than a Fire Beetle's AP (which would hit as if Scalis only had 40-45 Fire Resist). However, Armor Pierce applies a +10% Damage Taken debuff to the victim for 3 seconds, so if a bunch of people are attacking the same target, then a Armor Pierce pet will cause the boss to drop faster than a AI pet will. Do you want more personal damage for yourself, or do you want to buff everyone's damage, which can contribute more total overall damage than just AI would?

Personally, when using a Beetle i go for buffing everyone's damage by having RC+AP on the Beetle, which makes bosses drop much faster with a group on them.
