your 'rents play toontown?

Well, some of us ARE 'rents and most of us are old enough to be 'rents. LOL! My now 9 y/o daughter got me started on TT. She no longer plays but mom has two accounts. :mf_prop:

My dghtr also just 10 ... she will jump on to help me or to complain that's she's not big enough, does one task and gives up again for a few weeks. I'm going back to work next week so I'll be playing less and maybe she'll play more only time will tell.

haha! I had to build up all of my daughter's toons before she would really play them...but I was in college then and not working so I didn't mind...now I have my degree, she has a big toon and she's happy just going and doing boss battles...unless she gets sad...then she doesn't want to play for a week.

I am also a 'rent with a 20 year old daughter. She also got me started with this. I have to confess that I am gamer anyways.

Most of the members on this TT board are adults.

A large portion of Toontown membership consists of adults (most who learned of the game from their kids). The most enduring members are adults, as kids tend to move on to different things as is the nature of a body and mind in transition.

I split the subtopic out of the "Who are you" thread, because it was dominating the topic.

Nah, my parents don't get it. Well they don't get MMORPG much at all. They still don't understand the concept of TSO or even the Sims on why you would want to control them and make them go to the bathroom on command. :gee:

I think you will see that most on this particular TT board are adults. I think we only have a few kids here. My 70 y/o mom doesn't play TT. She is currently addicted to POGO. LOL!

LOL, my mom is addicted to Freecell (she's 56). And when I mean addicted, I mean she has a sheet of paper that tells her which game # she left off on, and another that tells her which games she was unable to beat. She started at 1 and is in the 15,000 area. She's been at it since she got her first computer with Windows 95 on it, so about 12 yrs ago i think.

haha -- my KIDS don't get it. They (19, 32) don't care to MMORPG at all. I remember when my oldest got the first Nintendo -- she still likes to tell stories about how she had to beg Mom to get off and let her have a turn. (I developed "Nintendonitis" from the controller.) She works for the Mouse (DisneyWorld) in marketing so she approves of my ToonTowning.

My youngest loved The Sims and pestered me to get TSO. She lost interest after a month or so, and I continued playing until a few weeks ago (I stopped the day it was officially announced the game was defunct).

It is obvious that many of the TT players are adults. Or, I should say, it is really obvious when one falls in with a crowd of adolescents or youngsters. I could enumerate the ways of knowing, but you all already know them. :mf_prop:

My wife and I met on TSO... Then when that started dying down, she found toontown. Now she got me playing toontown and she left for WOW. I guess we've been gamers forever though. Since we met on TSO, we now have a 2 year old.

if my mom calls me one more time to asks how to cut & paste i'm gonna shoot myself. But she can buy airplane tickets and visit every catalog website and shop like crazy. I'm a gamer from way back too. I used to love free cell. but then I'm the old lady here. I got one of the first 1000 aol aco****s...lol. I remember when i had an 8.5 floppy drive on my Tandy(made by radioshack) and it took up a whole wall. the monitor was incredibly large with dials not buttons.....lol! That was well before windows or mac....unix was the popular advanced op system then. dos was for wuss's! none of you might have been born yet and movies were a nickel and i walked to school 10 miles in the snow.

I remember seeing you around there too. Wife and I mostly hung out in casinos during the later days... I did a little stint on KSIM radio for a while... Those were the good old days.....

Back on topic: My mom just started playing toontown. Trying to convince the wifes mom too play too.

Mom likes to watch me use my toons or see youtube videos of toons when I come to visit. She doesnt seem to want a toon herself.

Dad does Freecell and Snood.

I remember using a cassette tape in my first computer class. How sad is that?:sad2:

I thought the 5.25" floppy disk was an amazing thing the first time I saw it.:loser:

Dali!! Glad to see you found TT!

Hi to all you other TSO'ers out there too!

Forgot to say, I found TT because someone posted on TSO stratics that it had cool mini games. I was hooked for a long time. I remember how happy I was to find out Trishy and Young were playing too. :D

Hmmm, nope, my 'rent's don't play, but I do! My kids (16 & 18) are completely unintersted in being a toon anymore. Poor kids, don't know what they are missing.
