Lower reagent cost? Does this mean that the bards instruments don't wear out? If not, it's got nothing to do with barding.
Lower Mana Cost? Bards don't use Mana....
4 full minutes of Bard Mastery? That seems like an awful lot.
With those levels of resistance, why bother with any defensive skills?

I'll respond for you. Please let me know which of the Bardic Abilities uses Mana as a power source? NONE! Just because they decided to power Mastery with mana does not mean it is correct; it's a flawed mechanic. Bards should use stamina if anything.

By the way, 4 Minutes of Mastery is HUGE unless of course you are standing around farming.... You wouldn't do that now would you? I mean, none of the advice on this message board is along any lines that a GM in game would find questionable, right? Pft. Get over yourself. Read the whole post.

Why would Stamina be a better choice to use, than Mana?

EDIT: Nevermind, I read the linked post in UHall. Aside from being off topic from the original post, there is a decent discussion on MMOs in general. I like some of the things Ned888 brought up.

there was a time in UO history when you NEEDED to have dex as a tamer for vet.

that made sence.
the higher your dex, the faster your vet heals.

should be the same for bards.

same old vet rules could work too.

if your 20 dex, 4 second heals.
if your 40 dex, 2 second heals.

for bards you could go 20 dex, 6 seconds between bardic attempts.
40 dex, 5 seconds
and just keep going up for every 20 points in dex ya invest
HAS TO BE REAL DEX TOO, no imbued up stuff!
so if you invested 100 dex onto your template you would only have 1 second waits between barding attempts.

you could, but you can only squeeze so much onto a suit, specially if you want to put LRC/LMC/MR and resists on it too
