A Dev Math Question

I just noticed that Saltpeter goes for 513gp each at the Tram Seaport. It takes a GM Alchemist 25 saltpeters to charge one heavy cannon with 4 charges of blackpowder and a fuse cord. With a blackpowder failure rate of 70%, what is the saltpeter cost to charge 7 cannons on a ship?

89,775 gold not taking into account fails.

If there is a 70% failure rate at producing black powder, the question remains how many units of saltpeter are lost per failure.

Pretend y're a Global Warming Scientist & make something up :)

Even with 0% failure, 25 Saltpeters x 513gp x 7 heavy cannons =
89,775gp. The only thing these 7 cannons will kill is the game.

But  I remain optimistic that the whole cannon process will be simplified before release.
