A Challenge of Virtues

L

Luna Rossa

Guest
Lady Luna Rossa sat in her study gazing upon the Nights Eye that rested now in her satchel. The warm glow from the lantern made the Nights Eye seem less ominous then what it represented. It truly meant life and death, not only for Valthalion and Neira the Necromancer, but for Luna Rossa herself.

Alcuin had warned that now that Luna Rossa would have to keep the Nights Eye on her at all times, her life would be in danger for should she be killed by either Valthalion or his dark servant, Maeglin the Nights Eye would be retrieved by them and the dark spell could be completed and Neira the Necromancer summoned and revived.

Alcuin had also stated that it would be Luna Rossa's decision as to whom would be the first to enter the tomb of Valthalion and search for the bones of Neira. This would not be an easy decision for Luna Rossa for she did not wish anyone of her members to take the risk unless they chose to of their own free will. She spent the entire night until the dawn crept over the horizon coming up with a suitable solution to whom would enter the tomb first.

She would issue a challenge to all members wishing to partake. The first to unravel the answers to the statements of virtues and what represents them, that any and all must possess, and deliver their symbols would be the one to enter and sequentially thereafter.

STATEMENTS OF VIRTUE

Compassion is a nonjudgmental empathy for one's fellow creatures.

Honor is the courage to stand for the truth, against any odds.

Justice is the devotion to truth, tempered by love.

Sacrifice is the courage to give of oneself in the name of love.

Luna Rossa took out a scroll and took the quill in hand and wrote out the decree to be posted so that the challenge could begin. For the sooner the first returns with the items, the sooner they can attempt to enter the tome of Valthalion and put an end to this dark curse that surrounds them.
