[Alchemy] firebeetle not working as forge for glassblowing ?

I just got my first GM alchemist and wanted to try some glassblowing so I grab my firebeetle and 2 packies and head to some sand patch, get the sand, use a blowpipe to try and craft an empty bottle and get the message : You must be near a forge ... well I'm near my firebeetle isn't that a forge ?

Well obviously no but my question is : bug or working as intended ?

I don't think glassblowing with fire beetles ever worked - whether this is a very old bug they've never fixed or was the original intent, not sure. It would be nice if you could do it though.
