Regarding the First Amendment

  • Q. Does the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protect my freedom of speech at Stratics?

    A. No, the First Amendment does not protect your freedom of speech at Stratics, nor on any forum community.

The First Amendment right to freedom of speech deals with actions by the federal and state governments. It does not apply to actions by private entities, such as an individual or a private corporation. It especially does not apply to administrative action by private individuals on forums -- this has been strongly reaffirmed by court cases as recently as 2010. It's a very simple concept: this is a private server, you're in our house, and you'll play by our rules.
